Aim of Course

Principles of Manual Handling can be delivered as stand-alone level 1 qualification, which gives clients complete understanding of manual handling. This session can also be non-certified

Who should attend

It is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities within their place of work and introduces clients to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available and what to expect from a manual handling assessment. Successful completion will prepare clients to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer methods and tasks, in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.

Course outcome

The course will deal with all aspects of manual handling and will include some actual lifting techniques. Clients will be asked to complete 20 objective test questions to ascertain complete understanding of topic
